Walt Kelly Torture Chamber Drawing

Artist Walt Kelly started at the Disney Studio in 1936. This Witch's "Torture Chamber" is an inspirational sketch he submitted during the making of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Medium: graphite, red, and blue pencil.

After Snow White, Kelly would contribute to Pinocchio, Fantasia, and Dumbo before going to work for Dell Comics. He is best known for his comic strip Pogo. The Tortue Chamber was eventually published on the title page of the January 1999 issue of Walt Disney's Comics and Stories (#632).
